I didn’t read the whole description and ordered this product thinking that it would come with a front and a back piece to protect my brand new kindle 2.0 . It is only a back cover. The design is very pretty, and the vinyl feels very nice. Applying it was super easy, just peel, line up, and smooth from the center. Since it was a little crooked I had to do it twice, and the item applied perfectly and without leaving any residue. If you want to protect the back of your new kindle from scratches and dust then this is a great item. But if you want full scratch coverage get a different case. As it is I am happy with the skin but will soon be investing in a case to protect the screen and corners from the contents of my purse.

Search “Kindle 2 Skin” on the web and you can find 30X the selection for less money and they cover both the front and the back of the case. Update: I just saw some really nice ones on ebay. And for even less. Try istyles too. Note how the best ones do not use the same art on the front and back. Instead they are a single piece of art broken into two panes.

This helps protect the back of Kindle in a fashionable kinda way… I have to say…. very cute and it is really easy to apply. If I get bored with the style I have now (Gold Flowers) I would totally purchase a new one (When new ones are out that I like) It would be nice if there were more design choices. Thus the reason for four stars and not five.
Gold Flowers has the look of a chakra. Very calming (totally my interpertation).

Okay….so when I ordered this thing to go with my Kindle I expected a gel-feeling cover type item which would cover the back of, and wrap around the edges of, my Kindle.
Nope.
Basically, this item is nothing but a big removable sticker to put on the back of your Kindle. Nothing more. Will it protect the BACK of the Kindle from being scratched? Sure. Does it look pretty? Yep. Does it do anything else? Nope. That’s it. Is it worth the money? HECK NO.
Buy an actual cover. There is nothing “Gela” or “Protective” about this item. Don’t waste your hard earned money like I did.

Just received the GelaSkin for my Kindle2 and was totally disappointed. It is like a large sticker . . . I expected a thicker gel-like skin that would protect and give the back cover a tackyness, that would make it not so slippery. Just a pretty sticker. ;o( Would suggest you not waste the money. Very disappointing.
