Unless you are a kid, or have a kid that really enjoy’s this show…I can’t really recommend playing this game all the way through. I won’t say that is the worst game ever or anything like that. But it’s just nothing all that special. HOWEVER!!! Let me just say that this is BY FAR, the absolute EASIEST 1000 Gamerscore points that you can get on the Xbox 360. In less than 5 minutes, you will have the opportunity to have obtained every achievement this game offers, and adding a nice 1000 points to your Gamerscore (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/avatar-the-burning-earth/guide/). So, unless you care about your Gamerscore, or you enjoy the show…I’d probably recommend passing on this one.

Five minutes for a cool 1000 points, no game can touch that record.

If you’re an achievement junkie you probably already know about this one, but if not, Avatar has five achievements based around a hit counter. You get points each time you add 10 hits to your counter and said counter resets each time you get hit. In the very first level of the game you can easily obtain all five achievements.

Will kids like it? Probably… I don’t know. I review with the achiever in mind.

    Go forth and unlock.

  3. I only rented the game because I heard about the easy achievements, but I ended up liking it. I’m an adult female and if your wondering what kind of games I like to play just look me (laurapsyched) up on xbox and see which games I have completed or at least came close to completing. Yes, the mouths don’t move when they are talking which gets kinda annoying. It’s not the hardest game I ever played either, I completed the whole game in a day. But I really enjoyed it and I think it would be a really good game for the targeted age and gender group as well as other gamers who don’t think games have to be like Halo or that type.

My 6 year old son is a fan of the Avatar TV series. We play father and son video games on weekends together. I have been very selective about what games to expose him to. This video game is true to the Avatar TV show. The Xbox 360 version is absolutely beautiful on a large HD monitor. The character voices, script and soundtrack are excellent. The game story line is entertaining for a 6-10 year old gamer. My wife and I enjoyed playing the game with our son in multiplayer mode. The game plays smoothly and is fun.

This game is excellent for children who watch the TV show. Its puzzle solving elements offer a different type of challenge to the player, which is great if your kids are playing. It’s a good because it keeps the kids’ attention and follows the story line of the TV show. The only down side to it is that for younger kids (younger than recomended) the combination controls are a bit complicated. Check it out! My kids love it.
